OPSM is proud to announce a major milestone for the company: the signing of professional coach Chris Nugent. Nugent, the Head Coach of Chattanooga FC becomes the first professional coach to join the OPSM Agency.

Nugent brings a wealth of experience, from being the Director of Coaching with Twin City Youth Soccer Association, to Assistant Academy Director with Queen City Mutiny, Technical Director with NC Fusion, and now to his current job as Head Coach of Chattanooga FC of MLS NEXT Pro. Chris brings tons of experience along with him to OPSM. With a passion for player development, OPSM is extremely excited to represent Chris.

Chris’s journey through the ranks of the U.S. soccer landscape from director roles with NC Fusion and Queen City Mutiny to his current position as Chattanooga FC’s head coach highlights his steady rise through the coaching world. Along the way Chris has earned a USSF “A” License, an NSCAA Premier Diploma, and a reputation for cultivating high performing teams, taking NC Fusion to a Southern Conference Title and National Runner-up seasons and starting the 2025 MLS Next Pro season with a 5-0-1 record with Chattanooga FC.
